Even the best of us have had our moments of rock 'n' roll rebellion, right? Storm the Akita-shepherd mix is no different.
The pup first garnered attention on social media when a California animal rescue wrote a Facebook post about a dog, who they thought had been abandoned during Metallica concert on Aug. 25 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Concertgoers spotted the dog sitting in a seat at the Southern California stadium, where she remained for hours during the show, according to the post by the Animal Hope & Wellness Foundation.
Thinking she had been intentionally left, the friendly dog was taken to a local shelter and the rescue quickly went to work trying to find a foster home for her.

'Cared for and loved'
Not long after the post, the animal rescue found out that the dog, named Storm, had not been left behind by owners but had actually snuck away from her family home near the stadium, according to a follow-up post on Thursday
Storm's family quickly claimed her the day after she arrived at the shelter, when they explained that she had escaped from their backyard, the post said.
"Based on the owners' Facebook page, the dog looks cared for and loved," said the foundation's post, which included a photo of Storm reunited with a family member. "Thank you to everyone who helped to share the post. Happy that the dog found its way home."
Storm's owners did not immediately respond to USA TODAY's requests for comment on Tuesday.

Metallica weighs in
Metallica soon took to X, formerly Twitter, to share the news with their fans.
"You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for #M72LA!" the post said. "Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to @SoFiStadium and made her way to the gig all by herself."
The band, seemingly delighted by its interspecies fanbase, said that Storm enjoyed the show with her "#MetallicaFamily" before she had to go back home. They also couldn't resist a few canine puns, saying Storm had a great time listening to her favorite songs, including “Barx Æterna,” “Master of Puppies,” and “The Mailman That Never Comes.”
While Metallica does not suggest that you bring your furry friends to their current tour, they concluded the post by saying that "this dog sure did have her day."
In comments on the post, fans appreciated the puns and pondered the power of music and its ability to bring different people — and species — together.
Famous account We Rate Dogs, known for sharing popular dog content on the internet, commented that Storm "clearly stole the show," a sentiment the band shared enough to repost on their timeline.
