Bronny James played in his fourth NBA Summer League game on Monday night against the Boston Celtics. How did the Lakers' 2024 second-round pick do?
Through three games – against the Sacramento Kings, Miami Heat and Houston Rockets – James' Summer League scoring high is eight points, which he accomplished against Houston on Friday. The No. 55 overall pick in this year's draft missed the Lakers' second summer game against the Warriors with a knee injury.
Prior to Monday, the 19-year-old rookie out of Southern California has 15 points on 6-for-26 shooting from the field, including an 0-for-12 mark from 3-point range. James has mostly showed an impact on the defensive end in his first three outings. In his first three games of the Summer League season, he had 12 rebounds, five steals and three blocks.
The Lakers lost each of their previous four games entering Monday night's matchup with the reigning NBA champs.
